QUEUE:
Located at the back of the Egyptian area is a large Egyptian temple guarded by statues of Anubis. Here, guests will see the attraction being advertised. They will walk through a 1930's expedition camp, seeing artifacts recovered from the tomb, before journeying into the building.

As guests venture further in, they will see the rooms of the ruins. This includes a treasure room that has been looted, a room with an Egyptian boat, and an observatory. They will also enter into a room where a newsreel plays. An American expedition company has come to Egypt in search of the tomb of Imhotep. An explorer named Rick O'Connell, however, warned them not to go looking for it, even though they did not listen. The reel also introduces members of the expedition, including Dr. Smith, the British explorer leading he expedition, and his assistant, Benjamin. They then pass a notifications board, revealing that Benjamin is missing.

Soon enough, guests will continue through the site, seeing hieroglyphics and statues of Egyptian gods. Then, they will enter the loading area, where they will board their mine carts.

RIDE EXPERIENCE:
The carts move through the tombs, seeing several old artifacts and hearing ominous music. They then enter a room of two sarcophagi. One on the left opens up and reveals Benjamin, who is wrapped up. He then shouts a warning to the guests:

Benjamin: "Run for your lives! The curse is real! He's after your souls, but if you can get his enchanted book, we can seal him up again!"

As Benjamin speaks, Imhotep emerges from the other sarcophagus, roaring as he exits. He then holds out his hand and removes Benjamin's soul.

Imhotep: "Silence! With your souls, I shall rule for all eternity!"

The word 'eternity' echoes around as guests pass some glowing hieroglyphics. Then, the carts enter a dark room. At the end of the room is a dark place where Imhotep's head appears. He makes an offer to the guests:

Imhotep: "Serve me and savor riches beyond measure."

The room then lights up and reveals treasure all around.

Imhotep: "Refuse and receive more bitter treasures."

Undead mummy warriors come up from the ground, holding scimitars and pointing them at guests. As Imhotep's head vanishes, the carts enter a hallway where Imhotep stands atop an archway. As he looks at the guests, uttering a spell, Dr. Smith is seen nearby, taking his book. However, Imhotep catches him doing it, roaring with rage.

Suddenly, the cart speeds out of the room and makes a U-turn. It then runs into a mosaic of Imhotep and Anck Su Namun, the pharaoh of Egypt during Imhotep's time. Suddenly, the mosaic opens up and scarab beetles cover it. The carts move backwards and then enter a chamber where a sandstorm comes, simulated by fog effects and wind. As they move on a turntable, guests see Imhotep's face move around, made out of sand.

Imhotep: "Nothing will save you now. Your end shall be my beginning. There is no escape."

The train then launches up a hill as Imhotep shouts: "Your souls are mine!" It then moves around through the darkness, encountering lit-up projections of Imhotep, mummy warriors, and other things. Then, they enter into an unloading area, where an expedition member gives them an exit spiel and......PSYCH! Imhotep appears and sucks his soul out. He then breaks the glass and shouts: "Prepare to forfeit your souls!" He sets the ceiling on fire as the train launches out again, moving through the darkness. They move towards a glowing gate, where Dr. Smith uses the book to send Imhotep into the glowing void.

Imhotep: "NOOOO!"

The carts stop in front of an animatronic figure of Dr. Smith, who is holding the book. He takes a deep breath and gives a slight chuckle.

Dr. Smith: "Can't believe we made it out of that. One thing is for sure......we should have listened to O'Connell."

The carts then move out and enter an unloading area.

POST-RIDE:
Guests get off the vehicles and take a passage out of the building. They then go into the expedition camp, where they enter into the Treasures of Egypt gift shop, where they can find merchandise and ride photos. They then enter back into the area, right in front of the building, making it look like the terror within never happened.
