Universal Studios San Antonio: An Introduction

 

Get ready to embark on exciting adventures. Here, guests can be immersed in their favorite franchises in a one-of-a-kind park experience. Plus, with the Universal San Antonio app, guests may add a level of interactivity to their visit. In eight different areas, guests will really receive the ultimate movie adventure.

LAYOUT:
This park is split into eight areas. Most of them surround a central lagoon, while two of them branch out into their own areas.

When guests first enter the park, they come in through Hollywood. This land recreates the City of Stars in a "main street" style atmosphere leading up to the edge of the water. Going clockwise around the park, guests will then enter into Minion Land, where guests can get into some mischief with the Minions of Despicable Me.

As guests continue their way around the park, they enter into the futuristic Sci-Fi City area, where guests can be immersed in the worlds of Science Fiction with time travelers, aliens, robots, and agents. Branching off from the main park is where guests enter Super Nintendo World, the home of Mario and Luigi. Then, guests brave the perilous regions of the world in the Lost World, home to exotic jungles, dinosaur theme parks, and cursed Egyptian ruins. Also branching out is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade, where guests can enter the famous Wizarding establishment and see Hogwarts itself.

Going down, guests can be immersed in fantasy worlds of fairy tales, dragons, and warriors in Mystical Realms. Last but not least, guests enter a recreation of London, which is actually the entrance point for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley.

All of these areas will be gone over later.

Universal Citywalk: Entertainment

  1 - AMC Theaters Catch a movie at this cinema. Here, guests can sit back in a recliner and watch a new movie. This also features 3-D and IMAX theaters. 2 - Universal's Great Movie Escape This is not your typical escape room experience. Here, guests come into one of three immersive storylines, where they will have to use their wits to escape. This includes Back to the Future: OUTTATIME!, Jurassic World: Escape, and Jaws: Sharkbait. 3 - Universal's PORTAL This is a virtual reality experience where guests are placed in their favorite films. They can help restore order at Hogwarts in Harry Potter: Magical Mania or ride through a dinosaur theme park in Jurassic Park: Dino Control.

  4 - Raising Cane's Sniff out this fun restaurant where chicken is sold. This is where guests can eat chicken, toast, fries, and fountain drinks, all in the same meal. 5 - Panda Express In this restaurant, guests can have some Chinese food. This includes czechuan chicken, teriyaki chicken, pork, noodles, and more. 6 - Starbucks Coffee, milkshakes, and other things are sold here. It's good for those who want a morning coffee, and those who just want a hot drink. 7 - Coldstone Creamery You've never had ice cream like this. Guests come into this room and have their ice cream made their way, and it is delicious. 8 - Vivo Italian Kitchen This is the place to find Italian food.
